Halloween is such a fun and special time of year for our little ones at Little Stars on the Lane. We get to really use our imagination and have so much fun. We always include development activities in our fun like working on our gross and fine motor skills, or developing creativity. It’s on days like today there is nowhere else we’d rather be.

Emotions
Dear families, last week has been full of emotions. We have been learning about the different ways we can feel. We started the week by reading about the colour monsters and colouring in how we were feeling at the time. 💛We also played with playdough, creating different faces and imitating them by looking in the mirror!🪞 On the other hand, we created a sensory table with coloured couscous, imitating the coloured monsters, we talked about each of them and got down to work experimenting with this texture. 🍚The next day we explored the light table, creating faces, and then played with flour and light, it was great fun! This week we talked a lot about emotions, how we feel at any given moment, how my classmates might feel at any given moment and ways to deal with them. On the other hand, we made the most of the sunshine by playing in the garden, but we also took advantage of the rain, with a circuit in the garden with a roof. Thanks to our classmates we were also able to make shadows on the wall with a torch. We played with playdough, did puzzles, played with cars, magnets and role play. We look forward to seeing you next week to have more fun together! ❤️

All About Me
This week in Little Stars on the Lane Seagreen, we continued exploring the theme "All About Me." We read The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas, a beautiful story about understanding emotions. The children engaged in discussions and activities about the book, sharing their thoughts on feelings and how to express them. As part of our activities, the children created wonderful drawings of their families and worked on a family tree project, learning more about their own unique family structures. It was a week full of creativity and emotional growth.
Birthdays, Families and Fun
We had a fun filled week at Little Stars on the lane Theatre Lane. We started this week celebrating the birthday of one of our friends. We created the birthday crown, made rice crispy treats and danced a lot! 🕺The next day we started to get to know our families🏠, we were talking about our siblings, parents, pets, grandparents and much more! We made our own houses with our finger prints and, using our hands, we drew the members of our families, and some pets. We also recreated our relatives with play dough. Finally we helped the colourful bears to find their homes!🧸 They are all safe and sound! Then we enjoyed playing with the rice, moving it from one place to another, burying cars and much more, we have lots of imagination! ✨
This week we have loved talking about our own family, but also getting to know all the families in our group.
